PROJECT QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER (UAE)

Kharafi National is a leading Infrastructure Project Developer in Water, Wastewater Treatment and Reclamation, District Cooling, Solid Waste Management and enhanced oil recovery as well as a leading Contractor and Facilities Management Service Provider to the Petroleum, Chemicals, Power, Water and Commercial sectors in the Middle East and Africa.

Main Responsibilities:

* To manage the site core quality control team and their daily performance.

* Coordination with Inter disciplines and Construction managers.

* Prompt reporting of quality control summary of field and shop activities through Management Information systems.

* Conducting Quality control practices awareness session for the Quality Control Inspectors and Engineers.

* Designing and establishing the quality control systems including the preparation of Project

* Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans, Procedures, Method statements etc.

* Resolving technical issues related to routine inspection activities and initiating technical queries.

* Foreseeing the problems related to quality control and NDE control in advance and initiating action.

* Review of NDE procedures and qualification.

* Welder qualification and performance management.

* Coordination with Piping Pre fabrication and other Subcontractors QC staff.

* Management of fit up, weld, NDE reporting and NDE back log clearance.

* Pressure test pack management and coordination.

* Conducting field surveillance and periodic internal quality control surveillance.

* Management of mechanical completion, systems handover and QC dossier compilation.

Essential Job Requirements:

* Bachelor’s of Engineering or Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

* Candidates must have 16 -20 years of experience; out of which 10 years in project environment & experience in handling minimum two projects as QC Manager role with a scope of project weld should be minimum 400,000 inch diameter for Refinery or Petrochemical, Pipeline projects.

* Should be familiar with ASME B31.3, B31.1, ASME Section IX, API 1104, and ASME Section V, ASME Section II Part A, B, C and knowledge on GASCO DGS standards would be an advantage.

* Candidate should hold professional certification as Lead Auditor of ISO 9001:2008, AWS CWI or CSWIP 3, ASNT Level II in RT, UT, MPT and LPT.

* Knowledge of Civil works, painting, insulation, fire proofing and mechanical equipments erection work is essential.

* Thorough knowledge of Welding processes, Quality control practices related to Piping pre fabrication and erection, process equipment erection and field assembly, Pressure testing and pre commissioning of piping systems and sub systems etc.

* Ability for team building and motivation, resource planning and development.
